Summary
We are looking for a Senior Quality and Risk Mortgage File Reviewer (Senior Quality and Risk Assessor) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, hybrid working, 3 days from our Basildon offices and 2 days working from home. Mortgage file reviewing / mortgage admin experience is essential and in return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to £25,000 per annum depending on skills and industry experience.

The role
The Senior Q&R Assessor deals directly with the UK-wide network of professional mortgage and insurance Advisers, in relation to residential and buy to let mortgage case files and their compliance with; operating procedures, the Stonebridge Performance Management System and the FCA regulatory requirements.
The role also includes delivery of training and coaching to QR Assessors to improve their knowledge, skills and performance.
The Senior Q&R Assessor is also responsible for managing their team’s mailbox and having oversight of all mailboxes to ensure target SLAs are achieved, chasing up the teams where not achieved.
The role includes regular meetings with the Compliance Relationship Manager to review system, process and documents currently in place to identify potential improvements, and complete feasibility analysis to confirm which change may be viable to pursue.
Key responsibilities
Check complex mortgage and insurance cases and provide guidance to advisers by phone/email to get cases completed
Liaise with advisors and Senior Audit where required to resolve case issues
Speak with advisers to give feedback and guidance on file reviews and confirm actions required (confirming in writing)
Keep team logs and spreadsheets up to date and produce MI reports for Senior Management Team review
Ensure competence standards met and maintained
Deliver training and coaching to the team of QRs to improve performance
Manage team mailbox and monitor all mailboxes across teams
Identify potential process / system / document improvements to enhance performance
Our ideal candidate
Mortgage file reviewing experience and knowledge of the regulatory requirements
Experience of training and / or mentoring
Good MS Excel skills, experience with analysing data and in creating MI reports
Keen eye for detail
Probing, investigative, analytical
Assertive communicator
Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and use time productively
Able to fully satisfy the pre employment screening process which comprises of right to work, identity, 5 years referencing, AML, credit screen, financial sanctions and DBS checks
