Summary
A Chef is needed in a care home in Lancashire.

Salary: Very attractive (negotiable based on level of experience)
Duties:
• Inspect foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality and manage purchasing.
• Plan menus, prepare, season, and cook food or oversee food preparation, ensuring dish quality.
• Supervise, organize, instruct, and manage kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• Coordinate kitchen operations, including fetching, clearing, and cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Skills and experience:
• Qualifications: NVQs/SVQs in Food Preparation and Cooking at Levels 1, 2, and 3, or equivalent culinary qualifications.
• Communication Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English, with effective communication abilities.
• Personality Traits: Cordial, friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor, along with strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and advanced knowledge of culinary techniques.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle day-to-day issues calmly and professionally.
