Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all IT systems procured by AHA meet appropriate clinical safety standards. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Information Officer and working closely with Digital Clinical Leads and safety team, the Clinical Safety Officer will provide a source of clinical safety expertise and support to colleagues working across the organisation and in the wider health community. Responsible for promoting, educating and increasing awareness of clinical safety activities across the organisation and wider health community. Accountable for the definition, documentation and implementation of a clinical risk management process which recognises the risk management activities for healthcare IT to NHS guidelines. Formally review the organisations clinical risk management process at planned, regular intervals. Ensure that the processes defined by the clinical risk management process are followed. Accountable for establishing a Clinical Risk Management File for the Health IT System at the start of each deployment a Clinical Risk Management File. Accountable for the maintenance of the Clinical Risk Management File for the life of all Health IT Systems. Please see the attached job description. . Responsible for implementing the clinical risk management processes and procedures across AHAin accordance with the relevant NHS guidelines.2. Ability to effectively plan over long medium and short-term and develop strategic plans.3. It will involve the post holder in a number of transformative projects in support of the Clinical Strategy,providing oversight of clinical safety and ensuring that clinical risk is managed effectively.4. Responsible for ensuring that all IT systems procured by AHA meet appropriate clinical safetystandards.
