Our client, a leading specialist in shopfitting and commercial fit-outs, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team based in Stoke-On-Trent. They are a national contractor, excelling in internal fit-out, joinery, and door manufacturing projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Duties Include:

  • Pricing / assisting in pricing competitive tenders and negotiated projects ranging from £5k to £1million.
  • Liaising with supply chain, clients and all stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Developing and building existing and new relationships with clients
  • Understanding and reviewing construction drawings and construction programmes in a critical manner
  • Procuring materials and labour to meet project construction programmes
  • Experience of JCT & NEC contracts desirable
  • Preparing monthly valuations
  • Keeping an up to date variation and forecasted final account tracker and communicating / issuing to the client in a timely manner
  • Checking quantities and preparing take off's.
  • Managing supply chain payments
  • Placing of orders
  • Understanding of costs and value reconciliation (CVR's), and forecasted margin across multiple projects
  • Understanding of construction commercial risks
  • Ability to organise one's own tasks with minimum supervision
  • Managing projects through to completion, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with ceilings, partitions, door manufacture, and fitted joinery.
  • Familiarity with JCT & NEC contracts.
  • Education to HNC/degree level in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
