Education Support Officer – Play and Enquiry (2 posts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to promote and support the development of North Lanarkshire’s Play Strategy. The post holders will have a key role in leading and developing universal and targeted pedagogical approaches to play and enquiry within establishments to improve child centred approaches to learning, teaching and assessment.
We are looking for suitably qualified teachers for the positions of Education Support Officers – Play and Enquiry.
Applications are invited from experienced teachers with a proven record of:
- Successful and innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches
- Supporting improvements in pedagogical approaches in line with research-based approaches to child-centred play and enquiry, leading to improved outcomes for children and young people
- Supporting colleagues to develop their practice of play and enquiry, ensuring this is underpinned by effective learning, teaching and assessment approaches
- Leading change with measurable improvement within a school
Excellent communication skills are therefore essential as is previous experience of successfully leading change and improvement, as well as motivating and inspiring others.
