Summary
HEAD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER NEEDED FOR SEPTEMBER
A mainstream secondary school in Slough are currently looking for a Head of Computer Science to join them in September 2024 for the next Academic Year.
This is a full-time role and the ideal applicant will hold QTS status and will have previous experience teaching Computer Science up to A-Level. The successful applicant will be Head of Computer Science and work alongside the Head of Faculty as Second in Charge to oversee Key Stages 3-5 Computing and the IT Cambridge Technical at KS5.
Applicants will need to have qualified teacher status in the UK, or an equivalent teaching qualification from overseas. They will need to effectively deliver the national curriculum with energy and enthusiasm. In addition applicants should possess:
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Previous experience teaching Computer Science up to Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
- Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required
- Excellent communication skills
- An Enhanced 'Child Only' DBS registered with the Update Service
- Residing in the UK to comply with DBS requirements
