Summary

We are recruiting a Planning Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 7 hours 24 minutes per day)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Planning Services.

We pay an attractive salary of £33,024 - £35,745 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This post provides a real opportunity for a planning graduate, or a more experienced planning professional looking for a new challenge, to work within a high-profile development management environment and develop their career, whilst contributing to the delivery of the ambitious regeneration objectives underpinning the Council’s Team-Caerphilly agenda.

The post holder will benefit from flexible/agile working arrangements and will focus on the processing of a broad range of householder and minor planning applications.


For the role, we ask that you have:



Level 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, a degree or Diploma Course.
Good working knowledge of planning law.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings and undertake site visits.
