Summary

Are you interested in joining a Trust committed to your development?

Would you like to be part of an organisation that really values your well-being?

Do you want to treat people rather than conditions?

Here at KCHFT we are constantly working to improve the lives of our staff and our patients. We care for you so you can care for your patients.

Our “We Care” strategy means that our ambitions are to put our communities first, deliver a better patient experience and importantly, be a great place to work for all of our workforce.

These aren’t just empty words either. At our “Outstanding” rated trust more than half of our workforce work flexibly, including compressed hours and term time only. More than 70% of our workforce feel we take positive action on health and wellbeing, and we aim to improve this. We are proud to say that we consistently score above the national average in our staff survey results, particularly for our focus on the well-being of our workforce.

And with the forward NHS vision being based on community care, there has never been a better time to join us.

We are looking for a compassionate Nurse to join our team based in Faversham Cottage Hospital.

Our hospitals are nurse-led and focus on holistic rehabilitation and therapy for people who need extra help to get home, or who are nearing the end of their life.

Our community hospital nurses provide complex nursing care in an in-patient setting.

As a community hospital nurse, you'll:

· assess the healthcare needs of patients on admission

· monitor the quality of care they're receiving with us

· be professionally accountable for its delivery.

Your patients could be any age, but they'll often be elderly, while others may have been recently discharged from acute hospital, be terminally ill or have physical disabilities.

As a Band 5 Nurseyou will work as part of a team to keep people safe and well in Faversham. You will use your clinical judgement to support evidence-based care planning and make sure that people who use our services have a good experience.

“One of the big differences for me is the time we can give to our patients. We really get to know them.” Val, community hospital nurse.
