About the Role: -We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and skilled Coach/Mentor to deliver the Level 3, Personal Trainer, L3 Duty Manager & L3 Team Leader (ILM) Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be responsible for imparting the essential Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) required for these roles, ensuring apprentices are well-equipped to make a meaningful impact on their employers and communities. COPA is the trading name of North Wales Training.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and deliver training sessions in line with the Apprenticeship
curriculum and associated technical certificates E.G. Gym / ILM.
• Assess apprentices' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure that all learners achieve significant progress from their starting points
towards their potential and develop new knowledge and skills that have a positive
impact on both them and their employer.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers to facilitate
work-based learning.
• Monitor and track apprentice progress, ensuring timely completion of all
assignments and assessments.
• Provide pastoral support to apprentices, addressing any barriers to learning.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory
requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including internal and external audits.
• Promote the commitment to Safeguarding in line with the Safeguarding Children
and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure.
• Promote Equal Opportunities in line with Equal Opportunities Policy.
• Ensure that all matters relating to Health and Safety are carried out in line with
Company Policy and current legislation.
• Attend all internal and external meetings/training courses as required.
• Liaise with all external agencies as required.
• Ensure continuous personal development in line with Company Business Plan.
• Participate in 1:1 monthly performance review with your Operations Manager.
Knowledge Delivery
• Ability to deliver group-based learning remotely and in person across the Personal
Training, Team Leading and Duty Manager programmes, examples include:
o Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology; Exercise Programme Design and
Delivery; Exercise Techniques; Nutrition; Leisure Facility Management;
Front Line People Management; Customer Service; Financial Responsibility;
Operational Management and Building Relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
• Experience in safeguarding and wellbeing
• Relevant qualifications in teaching and assessing
• Previous experience in a training or mentoring role is highly desirable
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills COPA is the trading name of North Wales Training.
• Full and clean driving licence and access to own transport
• Qualification In Personal Trainer Level or equivalent Skills and Competencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs.
• Proficient in using digital technologies for training delivery.
• Competency with regard to Safeguarding.
