Summary

Are you someone with experience of working with children and a passion for helping? Perhaps you are a Graduate thinking about going into teaching and are looking for a way to gain valuable experience?

The successful candidate will cover lessons of any subject, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment. In periods where cover is not required, the successful candidate will support in the classroom as directed.

Outwood Academy Valley is an oversubscribed 11 - 18 academy in the North of Nottinghamshire at the gateway to the famous Dukeries, including Clumber Park. Situated in Worksop, a vibrant town with a historic market centre, mining heritage and growing commuter links for nearby cities, including Sheffield.

The successful candidate should have Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths or equivalent and be keen to undergo further development/education. Full training and support will be given for the right candidate.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising students during short term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required.

You must possess good communication and listening skills and ensure that respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
