With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to expand and develop their operations in the North Lanarkshire area with the recruitment of an HGV Trailer Mechanic for their site in Scotland.
The Role
Applicants will be workshop based and may have a little field work to give roadside or customers site assistance if required and will be involved in both repair and service work for a variety of HGV Trailer solutions. The role involves the general upkeep and maintenance of Heavy Goods trailers including Curtainsider, Box, Flatbed, Refrigerated, Walking Floor, Skeletal and Tanker as well as the repair of broken or damaged products that are returned to the depot. The role requires applicants to inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard at all times, ensuring all quality and health & safety standards are adhered to.
The Applicant
Suitable applicants must be able to show strong technical experience of Heavy Goods trailers and be looking for a challenging new role. Fitting/Service/Repair experience is a requirement for this role, applicants should have technical, maintenance, service and fitting experience of HGV Trailers and ideally be time served, applicants should have some exposure to welding, double deck maintenance and a variety of experience of trailer or tanker repair.
The ideal applicants would be based on patch in the North Lanarkshire area of Scotland. Based on a Monday to Friday working week, this role requires a 45hr working week, 10hr shift with 1hr lunch each day over the week.
