Summary

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces in residents’ rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness throughout the care home.
  • Manage laundry services, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ clothing.
  • Ensure all laundry activities adhere to infection control guidelines.
  • Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies of cleaning and hygiene products.
  • Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Carry out any other reasonable instructions.
  • Attend and be knowledgeable of all statutory training sessions including, Fire, Health and Safety, Moving and Handling and COSHH etc.
