Summary
Taking patient histories and carrying out routine patient examinations Communicating with patients Provide day to day medical care under supervision Clerking patients admitted on emergency take days Participating in in-patient and day surgery operating lists Requesting investigations / treatments for patients Attending and undertaking ward rounds as required Providing cover for colleagues in an emergency and when on annual / study leave Participating in the training of medical students attached to the Firm Providing discharge summaries etc. to promote good liaison with General Practitioners Liaison with patients' relatives Providing on-call services as required Participation in data collection and processing for quality improvement purposes and audit
