Summary
An opportunity has arisen within our community hospital to recruit an exceptional Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient unit. The Inpatient unit at Teddington Memorial Hospital sits at the heart of community health delivery in Richmond. Our 28 bedded unit supports the rehabilitation and care of local residents who need step up, step down and sub-acute care and works integrally with our community teams and local social services.
The team comprises of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants. We also have daily input from GP’s and access to the wider MDT on a case by case basis
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage a complex caseload of patients and provide leadership for the occupational therapy element of the team. Alongside these duties, as part of the senior team, you will be expected to support the junior members of the multidisciplinary team and support the clinical services manager in day to day management and service development.
You must be flexible and responsive and have excellent time management skills.
You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the rehabilitation agenda and how occupational therapy can contribute to this model of care
