Summary
My client is a dynamic and expanding company specializing in Facilities Management, with over 25 years of experience in this field. We are dedicated to providing compliant and cost-effective solutions in this specialized market.
Due to continuous growth, my client currently has an opening for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maintenance Engineer/Plumber to handle various planned and reactive tasks for clients primarily located in Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues with minimal disruption to the site.
- Perform scheduled Preventative Planned Maintenance work.
- Manage first-line response to any service requests.
- Conduct minor decoration and refurbishment tasks.
- Unblock sinks, toilets, and drains as needed.
- Repair leaks, fit new tap washers, and repair ballcocks.
- Perform light plumbing installations as required.
- Adjust doors, tighten hinges, and change or fit locks and door closers.
- Conduct water testing for temperatures and diseases.
- Deliver both responsive maintenance and refurbishment work for clients.
- Educate customers about available products/services and how to purchase them.
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Maintenance Assistant or similar role.
- Proven property/building maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and decoration works.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a busy team environment.
- Previous experience in PPM and reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns.
- High levels of responsibility, enthusiasm, and motivation.
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to write detailed technical reports.
- Ability to build excellent working relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver planned works programs and manage reactive repairs as needed.
