Summary
Experienced EHS Officer required for our client’s COMAH site in Wilton, to work under IPPC regulations in this full-time temporary role for 11-months.
You will be Level 3 NEBOSH or equivalent qualified or have a NEBOSH certificate and be working towards a diploma, with significant chemical or relevant industry experience, including conducting JSAs, audits and risk assessments.
You will be required to deliver group training/presentations and liaise with multiple parties, so must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Managing waste disposal facilities/contractors in line with regulations
- Providing daily occupational health, safety and environmental advice to aid improvements and developments on site
- Supporting the local DGSA expert with compliance and Technical and Environmental Manager with site maintenance and development, and associated documentation
- Maintaining current EHS legislative knowledge and ensuing procedures and protocols comply including provision of PPE (and budget management)
- Promoting the company Behavioural Safety Programme
