Physiotherapy Support Workers Band 3.
Physiotherapy Support workers are required by one of the UK’s largest NHS Hospital Trusts working in a range of Physiotherapy teams.
These roles supports patients to regain their mobility, function and confidence following surgery, or illness, providing a range of therapy interventions to facilitate recovery and promote independence.

The successful therapy support worker will have
• Previous care experience NHS or similar social care equivalent
• NVQ level 3 or experiential learning experience/ competency to a similar level.
• Experience of working well within a team.
• An ability to organise own caseload.
• Experience of working under in- direct supervision

THE ROLE:As a Physiotherapy Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
• Treating patients referred by physiotherapists. Tasks include organising and implementing physical treatment sessions from treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress.
• Monitoring patient’s response to physiotherapy programmes, evaluating outcomes and adapting input as appropriate, working with patients towards their recovery and discharge
• Liaising with therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Supporting the administration to therapy teams with ordering of equipment data input and referral
