This is a maternity cover position until 31st August 2025. The successful candidate must be able to work enthusiastically and professionally alongside students, be self-motivated and proactive.

This is a term time only post working part time. The working pattern will be at least 36 hours a fortnight (roughly 18-20 hours per week), based around the school timetable for Food Technology lessons (exact details to be discussed at interview). We would consider applicants who may be looking for a job share arrangement, please just ensure you state on your application your availability.
Pay: The post is paid on Essex Schools' Local Government Pay Scale 3, point 5 (within range 5-6). The full time equivalent pay for this scale and point is £23,500 gross per annum. The actual salary for this part time post will be calculated once the exact hours are known for the timetable, but will be approximately £9,800 gross per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service. Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
Holiday entitlement: The successful candidate will work during each week of term time including non-pupil days. Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.
