ERP Technical Delivery Analyst Hybrid– attached to the Solihull office Full Time, Permanent Salary - £65,000
- £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Here at Serco, we are seeking an ERP Technical Analyst to a to advise and support the technical elements for the ERP projects and support significant (P1/P2) tickets. The role will also support the ERP strategy primarily for SAP plus some other non-SAP platforms. The role will also support the reduction of technical debt, assure solutions before they are commissioned and provide stability to our environments. The ERP Technical Analyst will support the integration design patterns and advise the business on how we construct our ERP (SAP) architecture.

In this key role, you will be part of a small team of technical experts to assure that we are up-to-date with application, security patching, CE+ and cyber threats and advise our ERP leadership team on any technical risks associated with our delivery plans. You will support the Head of ERP Technical Delivery on how to operate our large and complex ERP footprint and play a key role for the future transformation to the new ERP platforms.
As part of this you’ll:

Governance and Engagement

- Contribute towards the development and implementation of a robust governance framework for the broader function, owing the technical aspect where appropriate.
- Ensuring seamless operations of critical stakeholder engagement platforms.
- Supporting business initiatives to embrace optimal solutions, including the adoption of innovative platforms.
Architecture and Design

- This role will report into the Head of ERP Delivery and support the definition and documentation of the technical architecture and strategy.
- Ensuring the quality of key technical documentation.
- Maintaining well-documented technical design patterns.
- Administering crucial control artifacts and strategies for servers, integrations, and developments.
Budget, Finance and Recharge

- Involved with managing the accuracy and currency of technical debt/spend forecasts.
Contracts and Commercials

- Supporting supplier license optimisation.
BAU

- Supporting the delivery of high-quality BAU services, with involvement in issues being exceptional.
- Assisting in patch management, audits, and handling high-severity incidents.
SIP

- Contribute to effective problem management, responsible for resolution of technical problems.
- Contributing to the delivery of functional solutions, incidents, and service improvements by strategic partners.
Project Management

- Playing a role in ensuring effective program and project delivery, including delivery of technical components of individual programmes and projects.
Delivery

- Taking responsibility for the quality of design outputs.
- Support the management and resolution of incidents, service requests, problems, and project issues, ensuring resolution by team members and 3rd parties as necessary or appropriate based on expertise and knowledge.
- Supporting the Head of ERP Technical Delivery coordinate between Infrastructure and Security teams and will have a proactive and controlled management of all system patching activities at all levels (OS, DB, Application).
What you’ll need to do the role:


- Experience of SAP technical platforms acquired through 10+ years of experience developing and supporting corporations on their SAP architecture approach and delivery. As well as broad SAP function
- awareness and understanding.

- SAP Basis
- SAP ABAP
- SAP PI / PO (Process Integration/ Process Orchestration)
- Functional Awareness: AP / AR / OTC / O2C / PTP / P2P / RTR / SD / HR / Payroll


- An understanding of industry standards, latest products and best practices.
- Evidence of working in a transformational programme using SAP would be advantageous.
- Experience in working with non-SAP and SAP partner products to deliver solutions.
- Experience in working with offshore/outsourced system integrator relationships to provide both Business as Usual and Project Delivery would be an advantage.
- The role requires good communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience, to be able to explain risks, issues, solutions etc. to non-technical teams.
