THE ROLE - Production Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production or Manufacturing Engineer with experience working within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering sector to join a thriving and growing business in the development of complex systems.

As a Production Engineer you’ll be a solutions specialist or problem solver that thrives in busy work environment, where the technology is constantly evolving.

You’ll need to have a background in high reliability electronics or Printed Circuit board manufacture and be confident working with small batch complex product manufacture.

DUTIES - Production Engineer

• Be the link between internal departments and third-party manufacturers.
• Develop processes and procedures such as Test Procedures and General Assemblies.
• Utilise general and bespoke test equipment for product testing.
• Build, develop, lead and manage a small team of Technicians.
• Technical support when problems occur before, during and after production.
• Ensure effective transition of product designs into manufacture.
• Supports the onboarding of new third-party manufacturers.
• Identify ways to improve quality and reduce production cost.
• Ensure the consistency of supplies parts from approved suppliers.
• Point of contact for suppliers to review production or manufacturing issues.
• Liaise with suppliers for quality issues/queries/NCR's for established products
• Undertake First Article Inspections (FAI).

BACKGROUND- Production Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Familiar with PCB manufacture.
• Experience with Electronic/Electromechanical assemblies.
• Able to multi-task and prioritise.
• Low volume, high value production background.
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
