Summary


We have an exciting opportunity within the Recovery team for enthusiastic and dynamic nurses wanting to develop their critical thinking skills and advanced nursing skills in the provision of excellent perioperative care and patient experience.

Recovery Units consist of four areas which cover a full variety of specialities including specialities such as plastics, spinal surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, orthopaedic and trauma.

The post holder will be a registered nurse with previous surgical nursing experience. Be a good communicator and able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative. Be willing to undertake specialist training. The successful candidate will work as part of a team who cover across site working with our recovery team in High Wycombe.

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development and/or implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients undergoing theatre procedures.

To provide highly skilled assistance in all areas of the operating department and associated areas, and act as a professional member of the theatre team. He/she is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care, maintaining a highly skilled standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust policies.

The post holder will teach, supervise and motivate qualified and unqualified staff including basic and/or post basic students (Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners), back to nursing students and health care assistants.
