Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology directorate and we are inviting applications for an experienced business support manager.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills. The successful post holder will work collaboratively with service leads in the delivery of the directorate performance standards.

The successful candidate will have proven operational management experience, thorough RTT knowledge, able to work to tight timescales with tact and diplomacy. This will include supporting service improvement and providing analytical and routine management reports to the key internal stakeholders. The successful post holder will be used to working autonomously, be proactive and able to take initiative to solve problems. They will need to work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and various administrative teams to deliver the objectives of the service.

You should be a graduate, or have equivalent experience of working within an NHS operational management role. You will have analytical and information management skills, combined with a commitment to supporting the improvement of operational and reporting processes in relation to the national standards. Effective communication skills are essential.

We are looking for someone who can balance the demands of a very busy workload and is dedicated to delivering excellent patient experience.

An eye for detail is essential, the ability to work to a deadline and an enthusiastic can-do attitude is crucial for this role.

To have day-to-day responsibility for the management of 18 week delivery across the Division

Manage the people, processes and performance of an administration or service support team within the service. Manage the planning and prioritization of the work associated with their team and organise all activities in order to achieve a cost effective, productive, high quality service. Provides cross site support to enable co-operation within and amongst teams
