The Directorate

PJ Publications is an integral department of Pharmaceutical Press, the publishing division of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). The department comprises four business functions: product, editorial, business development, and production, with a brilliant team of editors, journalists and product people constantly looking to do new things and improve our products and how we work.

We employ a mix of business models across our portfolio of products, from membership, subscriptions, advertising and sponsorship, ensuring that the portfolio remains fully aligned to the larger organisational mission and vision of the RPS.

The Team

The PJ team comprises two teams of editors; ‘News & Views’ and ‘Learning & CPD’. It also has its own production team (which includes the subeditor) and a product and sales team. Collectively, we produce a range of content types, including news, features, opinion, learning, CPD and research articles with daily deadlines.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home; however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4–8 working days per month at our London Office.
