Summary

More people than ever before are living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and many experience fear, isolation, loneliness, and struggle to cope with the impact it has on their every day lives. You can be part of our mission to make sure that there is no life half lived in Scotland.
By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as our Philanthropy Manager you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.
This is an exciting role that will see you working to make a real difference to the lives of the one in five Scots living with a chest, heart or stroke condition or are living with long covid.
By identifying, cultivating, engaging, and stewarding philanthropy prospects through inspiring proposals, innovative events and other appropriate fundraising activities, you will play a leading role in building and sustaining high-value relationships with donors in Scotland and further afield. You will be highly motivated and play a vital role in driving a step change in high-value fundraising from individuals establishing meaningful relationships in this arena.
The Philanthropy Manager will be joining a hard-working and talented fundraising team, working closely with our Assistant Director of Fundraising as well as the wider team.
We are looking for someone who can build excellent relationships with people at all levels and can manage a busy and varied workload. This is a chance for you to channel your passion for philanthropy to make a real impact on the health of people in Scotland.
CHSS operates a 32.5 hour week but we are willing to consider a shorter working week for the right candidate. This is a hybrid role which can be delivered from home with occasional visits to our office in Edinburgh.
In line with our commitment to safeguarding, this role is subject to a Basic Disclosure check. CHSS is committed to equality of opportunity and to providing a service which is free from unfair and unlawful discrimination. We therefore aim to ensure that no applicant, volunteer or member of staff is unfairly treated on the grounds of offending background.
