Stirling Council’s Schools, Learning and Education Service seeks to appoint a motivated and dynamic individual to the permanent post of Principal Educational Psychologist. This is a significant and influential role in Children’s Services, with the post-holder being responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the Educational Psychology Service, the Parent and Family Support team, and for a wide range of service-delivery and strategic responsibilities that involves working with children, young people, families and partners, improving outcomes for all.
As Principal Educational Psychologist, you will work closely with key partners to effectively lead, manage, develop and promote the Educational Psychology Service, and the Parent and Family Support team. Lead areas include improving children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, closing the poverty related gap, promoting inclusion and equalities, and children’s rights. The post requires strong leadership, management skills and excellent communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who is values led and determined to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) is required. Applications are invited from suitably qualified educational psychologists. Further information about the post is available in the job description.
