Summary

This post is open to women only: Section (2) (e) of the Sex Discrimination Act applies.The Domestic Abuse Partnership (DAP) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join the partnership team. The aim of the partnership is to reduce repeat victimisation through enhancing the safety of victims and children by providing a co-ordinated and effective multi-agency response to tackling domestic abuse.
Your primary role will be to provide an effective support and advice service to victims referred to the service.
You must have previous experience of direct work with victims affected by domestic abuse or safeguarding adults or children. Demonstrate an ability to work with victims in a trauma informed, empowering and supportive way. Have an awareness and understanding of the Duluth power and control methodologies, power differentials and inequalities between men and women and the effects that domestic abuse has on victims and their children. Have effective communication, organisational skills and the ability to work using your own initiative. Have an informed understanding of safeguarding children and adults is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop their knowledge and skills in this complex and often challenging area of work. Working hours cover Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
