This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced NHS Senior Manager to join the Urgent & Emergency Care (UEC) team at Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent ICB. We are looking to expand our Delivery Team to lead and deliver improvements across the SSOT ICS. Our approach is driven through partnership and collective approaches to redesign and transform our services for our patients. Our Delivery Team supports services across the Pre, In and Post Hospital agenda with a Delivery and Improvement Lead dedicated to each workstream.

Working as part of a team the successful candidate will be responsible for the ICB UEC Strategic Delivery & Improvement Plan including service redesign and contract management.



The postholder will work to the Head of Delivery and Improvement to lead programmes of work that will deliver measurable improvements in local health outcomes and ensure that strategic objectives and performance targets are met and that the required contributions to corporate policies and strategy are made.



Working closely with the Deputy Directors, Heads of Delivery and Improvement, Clinical Directors, and other stakeholders from across the system, the postholder will lead on an element of strategic improvement, operational and project management of specific areas of strategic activity in line with national and local strategies and delivery plans, including system transformation. System working will require working with Senior leaders across the ICS partner organisations.



The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB)is responsible for planning functions; managing the NHS budget and arranging the provision of health services in the geographical area.

Location Home based/hybrid working (most of posts).

Travel on occasions to a Hub location with at least 1 days notice

New starters are expected to collect IT equipment, from offices in Stoke-on-Trent, and if based at home are required to have appropriate desk/chair/ relevant equipment in compliance with DSE regulations

Posts at Band 8c and above, will take part in the On-call rota, flexible over 7 days, supporting the System Control Centre, with full training provided.

Working as part of the portfolio team and responsible for the ICB strategic delivery and improvement plans, , service redesign and planning activity, working closely with the Deputy Directors and Heads of Delivery and Improvement, Clinical Directors and other portfolio teams to commission services to meet the healthcare needs of the ICB population.

Contribute to the implementation of the System Savings programme, ensuring that projects, plans and wider service transformation programmes deliver the desired health improvement outcomes, productivity benefits and changes in the wider health economy.

Responsible for developing and implementing integrated improvement and delivery plans with key stakeholders across the integrated care system.

Responsible for the development and implementation of, service transformation plans, business plans, service specifications and quality audits and improvement plans.

Responsible for ensuring contracts with specified providers deliver the specified outcomes for patients

Ensuring that services are commissioned and procured in line with competition law, standing financial instructions and local partnership frameworks and ensuring contestability in the way that the ICB commission and procure services.

Responsible for the achievement and maintenance of performance targets with reference to maintaining performance indicators, within the services and contracts that are managed by the portfolio.
