The Marlowe is moving into its second year of an exciting partnership with Canterbury College. As part of this partnership we are co-delivering the acting strand with their Performing Arts students under the umbrella name of Marlowe Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA).
We are seeking a MAPA Coordinator to support the planning, delivery and administration of the project based learning as part of the level 3 UAL course. The ideal candidate will have some theatre industry experience as either an actor, director, theatre practitioner or producer as well as experience of teaching within the arts and managing projects with artists and young people.
The MAPA coordinator will have a passion for working with young students to maximise the teaching potential of our unique access to live theatre and professional artists and that students are developing the skills necessary to succeed in higher education and employment within the theatre industry.
This role sits within the Learning and Participation department. The MAPA co-ordinator will work closely with the MAPA Course producer on the coordination of project based terms that are supported by our partners, associates, resident companies and our pool of specialists creative facilitators.
We are looking for someone who will be available ideally mid-August but no later than by the start of September 2024.
We want to work with people who are passionate about their work, resilient in the face of any challenge that comes their way and supportive of their colleagues.
