We are looking for a full time Team Leader to join our team at our Specialist Care Centre, Berkeley Village in Bamber Bridge, Preston. The team leader will join a management team of home manager, team leader, clinical nurse leads and registered nurses.

The home supports people who have complex needs, mental health conditions and neurological conditions.

The role is to lead the team under the nurse in charge in the day to day running of the service, supervising, and supporting junior staff on a shift-by-shift basis.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about care and who has the skills to be able to lead a team in a positive and supportive manner.

The person we are looking for needs to be passionate, kind, caring, cheerful and have a positive can-do attitude.

This person will take a lead in ensuring excellent documentation is being completed, staff are supporting people following care plans, rota management and supervision/teaching of junior staff.

We are looking for someone with experience in a care setting and experience of managing people.

The role is varied and interesting and includes:

Taking a lead on ensuring all staff receive productive supervisions in a timely manner.
Leading on inductions and supporting new starters within the home.
Supporting the nurses and management team in ensuring excellent person-centred care is being delivered by the home.
Acting as a role model to junior staff and ensuring staff are always acting in a professional manner.
Overseeing the running of the units under the nurse in charge and ensuring consistency of care throughout the various shift patterns.
Ensuring meaningful occupations and activities are happening on the units.
Ensuring that people living in the home have an excellent quality of life and are always treated with dignity and respect.
Ensuring people living in the home are always safeguarded and are being supported to live the best life they possibly can.
