We have an exciting opportunity to join our Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Team, to coordinate the delivery of our Perinatal Counselling Service and wider team interventions.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and highly motivated person to join ourcompassionate, motivated skill mix teamand help develop and deliver high quality interventions that promote healthy parent-infant relationships and perinatal mental health, in line with the Critical 1001 Days vision.
The Perinatal Counselling Service offers free counselling to parents & carers in East Sussex experiencing mild-moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing problems during pregnancy up to a year post birth.
In addition to this the role will include supporting the wider team interventions, including the facilitation of ‘Time for Me’ postnatal support groups and our duty service, guiding referrals from the wider service into the most appropriate intervention for that individual family’s needs.
· Coordinate the daily running of the Perinatal Counselling Service to include screening, triaging & allocating referrals, liaising with volunteer counsellors, clients, and partners, and reporting on service performance and strategy.
· Facilitate PIMH interventions, such as ‘Time for Me’, as agreed within the team.
· To help shape the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (PIMH) team as it expands in line with the Family Hubs and Start for Life agenda.
· Provide PIMH triage support and advice to the Heath Visiting service as part of a duty system.
· Liaise and build connections with other primary and secondary mental health services to advance the improvement of PIMH services within East Sussex.
· Provide training and support to staff as needed in line with the development of the service.
· Support and offer peer supervision for Volunteer Perinatal Counsellors.
