Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to become a valued member of the Review Team in our Adult Social Care department at Reading Borough Council.

We are currently supporting two ASYE’s within the Review Team. Therefore, at this time we are not seeking applicants in the early stages of their career.



About the role:

In line with the Professional Capabilities Framework (BASW, 2018), as an experienced, registered Social Worker:



You will show demonstrable evidence at interview of Adult Social Care legislation and safeguarding, alongside how you have applied this to your practice.
You will be able to utilise a range of models and theories, including strength based practice to bring about positive outcomes for our residents.
You will apply critical reflection and analysis to inform decision-making.
You will hold a varied caseload and use creativity and curiosity when working in complex situations.
You will contribute to team performance and help sustain a learning culture.
Transferable skills can be considered.


About the team:

We are a multidisciplinary team with a clear Team Purpose and Values. Our main objective is to promptly assess current care and support, employing a strengths-based approach to work with individuals in order to enhance wellbeing, uphold rights, foster independence, and facilitate positive outcomes.

We collaborate with other teams engaged in the provision of Adult Social Care and work closely with health colleagues to consider Continuing Healthcare alongside our Care Act duties.
