Purovets is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join a RCVS accredited small animal practice in a picturesque spa town in Worcester. Our client seeks a progressive and team-oriented Head Veterinary Nurse to manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing team. Key responsibilities include organising nursing rotas and holidays and providing guidance to students. You will be part of a dedicated team comprising six vets (4.5 FTE), six nurses (5.5 FTE), one ANA, three receptionists, one practice manager, and an insurance/ordering nurse. The practice fosters a positive and progressive culture, seeking candidates with a strong team spirit and leadership qualities to contribute to the growth and success of their nursing and veterinary team.
The practice is well-equipped with three consult rooms, an operating theatre, imaging room, dental/grooming room, onsite laboratory, separate kennels for cats, dogs, and small furries, an isolation kennel, a large established garden, and staff dog kennels. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, laser, endoscopy, thermocautery, an onsite lab, dental facilities, and anaesthetic monitoring machines. The practice also collaborates with a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, providing exposure to complex surgical cases.

The Role:
• Full Time role - 4.5 day week
• 1:6 weekends (Saturdays 8.30am - 1pm)
• No OOH
