Summary
About the Role
Reporting into the Group Head of Procurement you will be based in and around the Leeds area. You’ll be part of an exceptional team that plays a pivotal part in Maria Mallabands day to day operations.
The procurement teams’ mission is to provide exceptional solutions while achieving commercial savings and maintaining the highest standards of quality. As we expand our operations across multiple sites, we’re seeking a talented Procurement Manager/Buyer to join our team.
What will you be focusing on?
Commercial Awareness and Negotiation Acumen:
Demonstrate a keen understanding of market dynamics, cost structures, and revenue streams.
Balance cost-saving initiatives with maintaining excellent service quality.
Skilfully negotiate contracts, vendor agreements, and partnerships.
Strategic Procurement Management
Develop and implement robust SPM strategies.
Optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and value.
Contract Negotiation
Work closely with wider teams to draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
Mitigate risks and protect the organisation’s interests.
Organizational Skills and Methodical Approach:
Create category plans, project plans, and communication strategies.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation.
Data Analysis:
Utilise analytical tools to extract insights from data.
Make informed decisions based on quantitative and qualitative information.
Who will you be?
Proven track record in commercial management, procurement, or related roles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Knowledge and experience of the care home sector would be great but not essential.
CIPS certified or a willingness to work towards this.
