Are you an MIS Support Officer with proven experience of reading, writing and applying SQL and T-SQL scripts in support of databases in a multiuser environment? Then we are looking for you to join our MIS team, to provide 2nd & 3rd line application and database support and administration, ensuring the integrity of the College Management Information System (CMIS) as guided by the MIS Support Manager. This role is at the heart of our purpose of bringing together people across the capital and beyond, to enrich lives through learning.
About the role
Working closing with the MIS Support Manager, this role will be critical in supporting the wide range of business process improvements led by the College’s wider IT Development Team. This role involves handling support requests, performing system maintenance, and assisting in database upgrades. You will ensure the stability and security of database operations, ensuring core services remain operational. You will support the optimisation of business processes in collaboration with the college's IT development function.

Experience of reading, writing and applying SQL and T-SQL scripts in support of databases in a multiuser environment. Microsoft SQL Server SQL essential, Oracle SQL desirable.
Knowledge of supporting third-party business system/platform integrations, including REST API web services and linked servers.
Knowledge of SQL Server administration including backups, schema and object management.
Experience of working with relational databases, maintaining, supporting and interrogating them to provide a wide range of datasets, analysis and statistics.
