Summary

This is a new post, offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to further the work of the Lancashire Peat Partnership and maximise the efforts to protect and restore our precious peatlands.

The LPP Project Officer will be predominantly responsible for overseeing project work on peatland restoration sites, as well as supporting the LPP Project Development Officer in surveys and the creation of new projects.

They will be responsible for overseeing contractors and ensuring works are in line with restoration plans and contracts. There will also be a requirement to partake in physical work and the organisation and management of volunteers and volunteer activities in line with Trust Health and Safety Policies.

The post holder will need high levels of confidence, the ability to coordinate activity, communicate effectively, and be someone who is passionate about the natural world.

Occasional work outside of regular office hours such as early mornings, evenings and weekends will be required though these should be infrequent.
