Summary
New Appointments Group are partnering with a leading manufacturer of premium fencing, gates and garden accessories. Due to the site location, it is essential that you drive and have your own transport.
We are looking for a Wood Machinist who will complete duties to support in the assembly of timber components. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred along with machine experience.
Wood machinist duties include:
- Operate various machines in the mill to include chop saw, wood planes, sander, circular saw etc
- Using hand tools and general assembly
- Stacking timber and keep the yard tidy
- To work at speed in order to maintain production flow
- Understand and exactly follow works instructions
Required skills:
- Experience of working with general machinery is required, ideally wood machinery
- Experience working in a production environment would be useful
- Reliable, strong work ethic and organisational skills
- An eye for detail and high level of accuracy
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Will involve some reasonable lifting.
What's on offer:
- Hours are 8am-5.45pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am-4.30pm.
- Immediate start available.
- Free parking.
- Due to the location it is essential that you have your own transport.
- Temporary work initially but will progress to a permanent offer after successful completion of a temporary trial period.
