Summary


Medical Examiner service. We are recruiting a Medical Examiner Officer to join the Trust as part of the national implementation of the statutory Medical Examiner system in England and Wales. The aim of this service is to be able to scrutinise all deaths within Buckinghamshire not referred to the Coroner. The purpose of this role is to act, with other MEO colleagues, as the Medical Examiners’ day to day operational lead for ensuring that the ME service runs smoothly and effectively.

** This role is for 15 hours per week working on Thursdays & Fridays **

**Please Note: This is an administrative NOT medical role.**

You will work with the senior MEO and will support all MEs assisting in a broad range of issues including being proactive in contacting relatives on behalf of the Medical Examiner and working with healthcare professionals, coroner and registration services to ensure that the work of the Medical Examiner’s office is completed in a timely, efficient and sensitive manner. You will assist in managing the Medical Examiner's office ensuring internal and external qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators are managed and achieved.
