We are Jamcoding, a company that delivers computing and coding lessons in primary schools across Whitstable and Ramsgate. We help students develop their digital skills and creativity through fun and engaging workshops on coding, robotics, stop motion animation and more.
We are looking for a part-time coding coach who can work 6-8 hours per week
Day ranges from Monday to Friday between 15:00 – 17:00 in various schools across the Whitstable and Ramsgate area.
This role would suit a teacher, trainee teacher, teaching assistant or student who wants to gain valuable experience or earn extra income in the education sector.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Delivering high–quality coding lessons to primary school students using our resources and materials
Creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students
Managing the classroom behaviour and ensuring safety of the students
Reporting on the progress and feedback of the students
Liaising with school staff and parents as required
The ideal candidate should have:
A genuine interest in teaching coding to young learners
A sound general knowledge of IT (we will provide training on each workshop)
A positive attitude, good organisational skills, and punctuality
A drivers license and access to a car (preferred)
A DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
A teaching qualification, childcare qualification, teaching assistant qualification or be interested or working towards one (preferred but not essential)
