SRG are working with a well-established Environmental Management company based in the West Midlands. They are now looking for a Commercial Chemist to join their busy commercial team in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service and delivery to the company's large client base. This is an ideal opportunity for a Chemistry graduate looking to branch out from the laboratory into something more commercial.

Accountabilities
- Greeting customers and being the front-facing point of contact for the business.
- Liaising with site chemists and cross-functional teams.
- Travelling to meet customers to sustain mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Keeping up to date with current legislation and regulations, including the Hazardous Waste Regulations and the Environmental Protection Act.
- Have a keen commercial awareness of the waste management market.
- Liaising with sales team to win new business.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques used on site to provide accurate and helpful information to clients.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum BSc in Chemistry or related with Chemistry content.
- Full valid UK driving license.
- Background in laboratory and analytical skills with knowledge of analytical instruments and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and customers.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Experience in the waste management industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in sales, business development or account management is desirable.
