Summary

Support Worker

Part Time
(afternoons, evenings, sleeps, weekend shifts, annual leave/sickness cover available)

BASED: Barnard Castle

We are recruiting a Support Worker to support one of our clients following an acquired brain injury that he sustained in a car accident a number of years ago. The salary for the role is up to £14 per hour, depending on experience. Are you what we are looking for? Here is a message from him:

“Hi, I am 22 years old and looking for a support worker to join my existing team - I need you to be fun, active and enjoy doing your job, animal friendly and happy to support me in getting out and about and on with my life. I’m passionate about football and support Newcastle United but I won’t be offended if you don’t. I am looking for a part time support worker to join my team and support me to manage my day-to-day activities and make sure I am well looked after. I am moving into my own home soon so will need guidance and support to help me with this transition. The salary for this role is £14

Duties
You will work on shift supporting with personal care, daily living activities, social and leisure activities and rehabilitation activities.

Key skills, knowledge and experience
You should have previous experience of working in the Health Sector.
Driving licence and car owner is essential.
You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
