They are seeking an experienced and motivated Estates Manager to join the team and oversee the management and maintenance of our facilities.

Role Summary:
The Estates Manager will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and development of the estates across our six care homes. This role involves ensuring that all facilities are maintained to a high standard, meeting health and safety regulations, and enhancing the living conditions of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of all six care homes, reporting to the Estates Director
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and safety of the facilities.
• Manage repair and renovation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and supervising contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff across the care homes.
• Provide training and development opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support career progression within the team.
• Ensure all care homes comply with relevant health and safety regulations, including fire safety, electrical safety, and building regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date records of compliance certificates and inspections.
• Plan and oversee major refurbishment and improvement projects across the care homes.
• Liaise with care home managers, residents, and their families to address any concerns related to the estates.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in estates or facilities management, preferably within the care home or healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, building maintenance, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
