Summary
Are you an enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team at a Specialist Pupil Assessment Centre in Chorlton, Manchester.
In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. The assessment centre focuses on evaluating pupils individually to identify gaps in their education, ensuring they are placed in the appropriate educational setting following their assessment.
We are seeking someone who is confident in working with diverse learning styles and abilities, including students with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. It's essential to be able to establish connections with young people and relate to them on their level.
Ideally, you will have experience working with students who may exhibit a lack of engagement.
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to initiate a new application
- Provide two professional references
