Riverside Meadows Academy – Wisbech Green site, is a brand new special school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and opened September 2023. Due to the planned expansion of pupil numbers we are looking to employ teachers to help fulfil the goal of a broad and balanced curriculum with our students.
We are seeking applications from any technology specialism, including food or catering, construction, hair and beauty or woodwork; or a combination of these specialisms.
Our new vocational department has dedicated teaching areas and a budget for resources that you would require. We need someone who has the vision to bring the curriculum to life from a blank canvas. Applications are welcome from instructors, ECTs and experienced teachers.
The general duties for all teachers are described in the ‘Teachers Pay and Conditions Document’ and ‘Teacher standards and Appraisal and Capability for teachers’. Horizons Education Trust also promotes the Teacher Standards and supports teachers to strengthen their knowledge and skills to apply these competencies to a teaching role with SEMH pupils in a special school.
