We are offering an exciting opportunity to work into our Health Psychology team.

We are a welcoming and supportive team of psychologists seeking colleagues who share our passion for clinically supporting people affected by physical health symptoms, whether you have health psychology experience or are interested in applying your skills to a new area.

This role encompasses our core Clinical Health Psychology service, as well as our specialist service areas including pain management and our expanding cancer service provision.

This combined role provides ample opportunity to develop your skills in clinical delivery, leadership, service development, and partner working with an added focus on tackling health inequalities and trauma informed practice.

Our service is located in North Derbyshire, in the beautiful Peak District.

Provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and clinical interventions in specialist clinical areas, delivering high quality evidence-based services.

Co-design and implement innovative strategies to influence uptake, retention and effectiveness of clinical interventions and provide consultation, training, and supervision to junior colleagues, working within professional guidelines and Trust policies and procedures and engage with key partners.

Work autonomously on specific projects into one or more geographical or service areas including: clinical outpatient clinics, MDT rehab programmes, psychological insights team and our integrated outreach psychology in DCHS.

Use research skills for audit, evaluation and research and contribute to future business cases and strategic development, supporting delivery of corporate, divisional and service objectives and operational plans.

You will develop clinical and leadership skills and experience representing our team and profession in high profile projects. You will be well supported with training, supervision and peer support.

Our team provides psychological services into a range of physical health condition pathways, including the core Clinical Health Psychology service, Pain Management, Cancer Services, Specialist Weight Management, Diabetes Education, Post Covid Psychology and our public health Psychological Insights Team.

The evolving nature of our service means there are constantly emerging opportunities to apply our psychological models and behaviours insights across the organisation. You will have lots of colleagues to draw on in your role offering a wide range of experience in different therapeutic modalities.

DCHS employs 4,200 staff, providing community health services to over 1 million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

• Responsible for clinical delivery of services in agreed specialist areas
• Provide clinical supervision to qualified and registered psychologists, other psychological and MDT workforce and clinicians with a special interest, including providing additional mentoring and supervisory/training initiatives (some supervision may be delegated where appropriate)
• Develop and deliver specialist consultancy and training in psychological skills for staff and services working at other levels of a stepped care pathway (community, secondary, voluntary & charitable sector, social care
• Supervise and line manage staff in agreed areas and as required by the Health Psychology team.
• Provide clinical psychology placements and supervision to trainees affiliated to regional training courses.
• Contribute to baseline mapping of service provision and co-design with key partners new ways to deliver psychological informed care.
• Join the wider Health Psychology team, contributing to governance and service developments.
• Work with the Clinical Lead and other colleagues in psychology to support the service areas to stay financially within budget and to operate efficiently and effectively.
