We are recruiting at our Specialist Support Service, AbbeyCare.

AbbeyCare have a number of roles available in the S6,S13 and S35 areas of Sheffield. This is for both days and waking nights.

Abbeycare and Nursing is a well-respected and established care provider, delivering community-based and 'end of life' support in the surrounding districts of Sheffield.

We are currently recruiting for Community Support Workers to expand our existing team.

In return we offer :

£11.62 per hour (minimum), with additional pay for Bank Holidays and Christmas
guaranteed contracted hours
paid DBS
1 Week of fully paid training
Ongoing support and monitoring
Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, support with nutrition and medication
Supporting service users to access community activities and events
Providing emotional support to service users and families/relatives
Completing daily records including care notes and MAR charts accurately
Supporting service users with money management and documenting accurately
Reporting any concerns to management
Demonstrating openness and honesty at all times
Promoting independence.
To be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Supporting colleagues

Please note that due to a high-volume female-only service user population and the intimate nature of associated role responsibilities, gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement for the majority of our care worker roles (which are available to female applicants only) as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.
