Summary

MIS Administrator (part-time)The Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist College in Godstone, Surrey. We focus on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and make dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives. Set up by musician and songwriter Sir Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus offers learning, supported housing and personal care all on the same site in Godstone, Surrey. We showcase what Orpheus students can offer in the workplace and we challenge the barriers to employment faced by some disabled people. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, skilled and experienced MIS Administrator. This role will ensure that systems and processes are efficiently aligned and continually improved to enable effective business results. This will include the provision of timely data and statistics across a range of external stakeholders, managers, and staff within the organisation. They will need to be highly organised, computer literate, efficient and motivated; able to take the initiative when required and support all members of staff who require data held within the MIS systems(s) or other related applications. This role is vital to ensuring the success of our young people and the organisation, and supporting the provision of an effective and efficient MIS system. Hours: 21 hours per week / 52 weeks per year (hours may be altered on occasions according to the needs of the curriculum and organisation) Salary: £14,283.84 (FTE £23,806.40) Excellent benefits include (but not limited to) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, enhanced pension contribution, free staff lunches, Employment Assistant Program (EAP) and training and development opportunities. Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience: Minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent including English language Educated to at least level 3 Experience of system developments, implementations, maintenance, data collection, data management, analysis and reporting Experience using a student records system in education, ideally within the Further Education sector Experience of working with systems, data and processes, particularly in a post 16 education settings Technically adept An understanding of effective utilisation of resources Willingness to maintain and update personal specialist skills and knowledge through engaging with appropriate CPD activities and training An experienced organiser who has high standards Excellent IT and administrative skills Excellent interpersonal skills Analytical and report writing skills Innovative and creative Ability to create internal learning and development plan and resources Sense of humour Flexibility to work with a range of stakeholders Ability to work well in a team and foster good relationships within a multi-disciplinary workforce Orpheus is committed to safeguarding and promotes the welfare of all service users.
