There is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our site in Sutton South West London. We have a Collection & Delivery Manager role in which you will be responsible for leading a team, accountable for health and safety, and operational quality, cost and people KPI’s.
About the role
As a line manager to approx 30 delivery and collection drivers, including self-employed owner drives, as well as warehouse staff, you will be able to achieve maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning driving quality of service and maximising productivity. Working to tight timescales you will drive the depot to achieve the highest possible customer service satisfaction levels whilst also ensuring a swift resolution to all customer enquiries and complaints.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance of your unit which processes up to 8,000 parcels on the late shift , effectively maintaining the quality of service for our customers and the overall safety of the people you manage whilst working closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and highlight any network conformance issues.
Attendance pattern
Late shift, Monday to Friday, 16:00 - 00:00. A degree of flexibility is required to meet operational demands. The shift is eligible for a part night allowance (additional £5.95 per hour premium for hours worked from 20.00 - 00.00)
About you
You need to possess the following skills and experience:
• Managerial and Leadership skills – the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Ideally from a background in express parcels, with some experience working in a unionised environment.
• Driving and implementing change.
• Managing resources and budgets .
• Ability to build strong relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders.
