A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Head Chef to join us at Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa in Perthshire, Scotland.

The Role:



  • Assist the Executive Chef in the smooth running of all kitchen management.

  • influence, motivate and develop a team of 14 chefs and porters to achieve excellence and consistency.

  • Responsible for menu development through quality ingredients and culinary excellence and presentation.

  • Ensure food standards and safety are maintained

  • Cost control, monitoring performance in all areas of the kitchen


The Person:



  • A minimum of three years’ experience as head chef in high end restaurant.

  • Experience in premium casual dining restaurants.

  • Rosette experience is essential

  • Formal qualification in professional cookery.

  • Intermediate food hygiene qualification.

  • Ability to work well as a member of the team and hotel family.

  • Committed to professional excellence.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Excellent understanding of client care and five-star standards

  • Have great leadership skills and are an approachable person.

  • Great at thinking "outside the box", being creative and strategic, and are driven by coming up with new ideas.
