ICT - Driving Technological Transformation

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wiltshire Council’s IT Department in our Cloud and Modern Workplace Team to deliver new solutions for the council and empower people through technology.

With a realistic expectation to attend site at least twice a week, as a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be responsible to ensure that the organisation's operating system and application systems are deployed, maintained and updated in an automated and sustainable way. You will also work alongside internal and external stakeholders to keep critical systems secure and up to date, as well as take the lead on maintenance, support and delivery of our standardised suite of Microsoft modern workplace technologies.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and technical ability with experience in automation of Operating System Deployment, Configuration and Application Delivery in a Microsoft environment. Experience with ITIL or Prince2 is also essential.
