Summary

A Vacancy at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Lane Fox Home Ventilation Service. We're looking for a highly motivated nurse wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in Long Term Ventilation and independent decision making skills.

The Lane Fox Unit is a tertiary referral centre and the Home Ventilation Service supports patients requiring Long Term Ventilation outside the hospital environment across the South East of England. There are currently over 200 patients seen by the team who require either Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) or Invasive Ventilation via a tracheostomy.

Working as part of a team, you'll be expected to manage your own caseload of patients requiring NIV in the community, as well as support tracheostomy tube changes at hospital-based clinics and in the community. There'll be opportunities to develop the role and the successful applicant will be able to participate in ward rounds at nursing homes within the Long Term Tracheostomy Ventilation Care Facility Network, as well as referring hospitals across the region.

The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive across the South of England according to service need.

The Lane Fox Respiratory Unit offers specialist nurse-led clinics for assessing and advising patients with chronic respiratory illness. There will be the opportunity to broaden your skill set.

Closing date: 09th June 2024

Interview date: 17th June 2024
